Beer News: Man Arrested For Stealing Bud Light

Christopher Maxwell showed up at a gas station in Sebastian, Florida around 2:30 in the morning looking for beer.  The Speedway clerk told him alcohol sales were not allowed in the city along Florida’s Atlantic Coast between  1AM and 7AM.  Maxwell was frustrated.  So he asked her a question, ‘what would happen if I stole beer?’

She said the answer to your inquiry is simple, she’ll call 911.

Maxwell didn’t care.  He needed his beer.  He grabbed two cases of Bud Light and took off.  The clerk followed through and picked up the phone and called the cops. They found Maxwell not far from the gas station walking along the road with a case of beer in each hand.

They arrested him and charged him with petty theft, two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.  According to Treasure Coast Newspapers, Maxwell’s bail was set at $16,000.  The Bud Light he stole was worth $32.50.
